"What will be so different on a Monday that one small change can’t happen today?"

The "Because It’s Time" outlook is based on conversations I have had with clients and based on just observing current health trends over the years. I hate that clients feel like a diet should be a temporary, unpleasant task they have to do. Your diet changes should be empowering, fun and lasting.

It may seem easier to start your diet or diet changes on a Monday. My concern with this is that you are getting into a certain diet mentality, in which a diet has to start on a certain day and will have an endpoint. What you are basically doing is giving yourself permission to eat anything, everything, and things you probably wouldn’t think of eating before Monday. All this because Monday things will be perfect and come together. Supposedly.

Then, by Friday plans may change, or there is an unexpected office birthday party. I think of the "Frogger" episode of Seinfeld here where Elaine is tired of having cake for all of the office celebrations. So, before you end up like Elaine and yelling at all of your coworkers for getting cake, first, think about the dietstyle you have acquired.

Because Everyone is Different

The reason I am coining the term dietstyle is so you can recognize how you are accustomed to eating. Many factors are involved in our dietstyle, including our work schedule, social and even economic situation. With "Because It’s Time" we find out who you are and what works for you.

Because You’ve Been There, Done That

If you cannot carry out your previous diet plan on vacation, during the holidays, etc. then chances are you will regain the weight, poorly manage you blood sugar and return to the same situation over and over again. "Because It’s Time" causes you to realize not only where you are going but where you have been to figure out what will work best for you to reach and maintain your goals.

Because It Takes Time

As the saying goes, "It didn’t happen overnight. Yet most of us want results that quickly. I understand this because we want to feel better, live longer and be happier. Effective, lasting changes do take time. I recommend at least 3 months of working with me to provide support, reinforcement and direct advice.

Because I Want This as Much as You Do

I have dedicated the last 10 years of my career and life to this field because I understand food is just as important for social functioning as it is for health. I grew up an Italian girl in the Bronx. If anyone knows the importance of food in life, I do. There is much more to be discovered in the Because It’s Time way of thinking, and I want to share this with you.
